We’ve developed a tradition of renting a cabin in the woods outside of Boone, NC for a week at Christmas. As the kids have gotten older and moved away their jobs have made it difficult to spend any time together for the holidays.  Our solution was to go to the kids, in this case Tyler.  He has the most restrictive work schedule (fast food) and was the farthest away.

Its nice to get off of the boat every now and then.  It’s also fun just to go somewhere!  Ben will be joining us today and will stay until Saturday when everyone goes home.

The weather is great and the mountains are beautiful.  Jan will post a lot of pictures of the mountains.
